Offering Description

Curious about the potter’s wheel but not ready to commit to a full class? This relaxed, no-pressure workshop is the perfect way to try it out. We will start with a short demonstration covering the basics of throwing on the wheel. After that, the rest of the hour is yours to play, explore, and get a feel for the clay at your own pace. This is a beginner-friendly experience—no prior experience needed. If you create a piece you’d like to keep, one glazed piece is included in the cost of the class. Additional pieces may be made for $15 per piece. You will choose your glaze color, and we will take care of glazing and firing for you. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 4 weeks after the class is held. Pieces need to dry, be bisque fired, glazed, and then fired once more.
