Recollections: Carried Away

This painting is the first in the Recollections series which explores my childhood memories.  Remember those times when you began to stare off into the distance only to find your mind drifting somewhere else?  This is where my journey originates - staring up at the sky, losing myself in the clouds, drifting into my subconscious.  Absorbed in time, my leisurely gaze comes into focus as curiosity parts the clouds.  An opening appears, beckoning me to go deeper into my thoughts - into my memories.  Unsure what will be revealed upon acceptance, I surrender to my imagination who unwaveringly ushers me through.
